On October 25, 2012 IFM and FMT held the 2nd annual Industrial Water Seminar and Open House, at the FMT fabrication/ manufacturing complex, in Findlay, OH. Guest speakers for the event included Mitch George of One Aquasource, Tom Horn, V.P. of IFM, Doug Frick of Porex, and Charlie Dixon of OOGEEP. A light breakfast of bagels, pastries, juice and coffee was provided during registration.

Rick Bennett, President of IFM, kicked off the event with a warm welcome speech and speaker introductions. Mitch George, Owner of One Aquasource, started off the morning with a presentation on the Basics of Hydraulic Fracturing & Treatment. Doug Frick, the Director of Sales and Marketing for Proex Filtration, was our next presenter. Doug presented topics on tubular membrane usage and RO Reject Side-Stream Filtration Using Lime. Charlie Dixon, the Safety and Workforce Training Administrator of Ohio Oil & Gas Energy Education Program (OOGEEP) concluded the morning session with a presentation on the Environmental & Economic Impacts of Natural Gas Drilling.

Following a great lunch, provided by the Findlay, Ohio City BBQ, attendees had the opportunity to see firsthand the services and workmanship provided by Findlay Machine and Tool, with a tour of FMT’s facility by the company Vice President, Andrew Rill.

Tom Horn wrapped up the day’s events with a presentation on Brackish Water Treatment / TDS in Discharge.
