In late spring of 2016, IFM was contacted by a local village to aid in renovations to their existing lift station. An IFM technician made a site visit with village administration to determine what they deemed necessary as upgrades to their station as well as their price range.
Following this visit, the technician contacted the client regarding IFM’s recommended upgrades. They proceeded to provide and install two new Val-Matic check valves, two new Val-Matic plug valves, and two new top slabs that included a hatch and safety grate for both the lift station and the valve pit. In addition, a new 460V duplex control panel for the pumping station was also provided and installed.
Upon installation, IFM tested all equipment in the lift station and the valve pit, ensured that the panel was connected properly, functioning correctly and tested the telemetry system that was connected to the panel. When installation was complete, IFM technicians trained the village operators on proper operation of the new panel and explained all the upgrades that occurred.
