At Industrial Fluid Management (IFM), we pride ourselves on our transparent and effective communication with our clients. One of our engineering technicians, Troy Houser, can attest to our unique approach regarding customer relations: “On a professional level, we are up front and honest on issues and challenges and how we will overcome those obstacles. From faulty equipment to big and small problems, we stay honest with the cost so there are no hidden or extra fees. We ask questions, try to find out what they want, what they need, and the most efficient way to get there”.

Extensive Client Communications

Our technicians, managers, and engineers maintain an open line of dialogue with our clients every step of the way. We don’t just meet our customer’s needs: we always strive to exceed them. While we offer many standardized solutions and systems, many of our clients face atypical dilemmas. We face these problems head-on and develop custom process solutions for any sort of obstacle. Some of these solutions include extensive custom engineering, retrofitting existing systems, and the design and development of new systems. Our process engineer, John Broer, reflects on our process: “The use of our pilot systems are utilized to narrow down treatment methods and solutions for the specific needs of a client. Our ideas require us to think outside the box to find the best solutions”.

Custom Fluid Management and Wastewater Solutions

When it comes to water biologics, design-build engineering, and wastewater treatment, we understand that there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Complex problems require complex solutions; at IFM, we are no stranger to developing creative answers. We treat each job as an individual process to produce a quality, effective system. Needs vary from job to job including cost, scope, and equipment needed to complete a project, so we go above and beyond to build and maintain a healthy relationship with our clients.

Referrals Speak for Themselves

Our commitment to the satisfaction of our clients has led to many referrals; this reflects our dedication to our clients and the trust we build with them. We offer results-driven solutions for multifaceted problems. Our consistency with the services we provide and the ongoing growth of our professional and personal relationships with our clients has built our reputation as a reliable water recycle and reuse company.

We have many examples of how we have solved urgent issues promptly and effectively. Recently, while completing a large-scale industrial water system project, the client’s wastewater system began to fail. Due to the constraints of the design of the wastewater system, developed by a competing water technology company, approximately 2/3 of the waste stream was not flowing correctly. Due to this, the effluent water needed to be continuously hauled off-site, resulting in unnecessary and inordinate costs to the client.

By virtue of the trust built with the client, they consulted with IFM for a solution. In less than 24 hours, our technical staff set up a 7 GPM ultrafiltration (UF) pilot system. The results of the UF system were immediate; the contaminated and milk-colored water entering the UF system became clear. Production costs were substantially cut, as the need for offsite hauling of the waste stream was no longer needed. The effectiveness and ease of this solution opened a line of discussion for IFM to design and implement a full-scale, permanent ultrafiltration system. The purified water produced by the ultrafiltration system was then channeled back into the manufacturing process, once again cutting expenses.

Custom Wastewater Solutions

We treat every job with sustainability and cost-cutting in mind. For example, a long-term client was experiencing high levels of ammonia in their waste stream due to urea. The high levels of ammonia were causing compliance issues, so an effective solution had to be fashioned with haste. The facility’s effluent water is primarily composed of storm water runoff from the nearby parking and fueling area. This runoff flows to an Environmental Control Pond (ECP). The issue was that the ECP was not designed to treat ammonia.

Using our laboratory analysis of flow data from the waste stream, a custom trailer-mounted treatment system was designed to effectively remove the ammonia. The system exceeded client expectations, bringing the levels of ammonia from 45mg/L to less than 2mg/L.

As a result of the success of the trial, IFM designed and constructed a modular treatment system to reduce ammonia. Built inside two 40’ shipping containers, a 15,000 GPD UF/RO system was built and shipped to the site.

The system is climate controlled, fully automated and can be viewed and manipulated online. Our client was delighted and has ordered a second system and is looking at other facilities where this type of technology can be employed to transform their facility’s effluent water into compliance.

Wastewater and Water Treatment Services

The previous two examples affirm the fact that IFM is committed to results. We exceed expectations with effective, sustained communication, reliable and sustainable service, and cost-cutting methods to provide our clients with the best solution possible. We develop relationships through personal trust, assuring we’ll get the job done right, every time.
